Mission Statement
Under the Son Ministries exists to extend unconditional love to the hill tribe people of Northern Thailand. We are investing in the lives of these people both spiritually and financially. Our main purpose is to teach them about the saving grace found only through Jesus Christ.
By first providing for their physical needs, we in turn gain their respect and can encourage them in their spiritual growth. We minister primarily to orphans and at-risk children by providing a home where their physical needs are met: food, clothing, shelter, medical care, and education. Support of an orphan home also provides employment for the house parents.
Faith Statement:
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and it is the truth without error. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead, ascended to Heaven, and will one day return to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15)
The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. (John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:13-14, 5:18)
Every person has worth as a creation of God and has tremendous potential for good. However, sin separates people from God. Forgiveness of sin and the promise of eternal life are a free gift from God available to all who put their faith and trust in Christ and accompany that faith with genuine repentance, confession, and baptism by immersion. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; John 3:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:23, 10:9)
The church is the body of Christ on Earth, and exists to exalt Christ by making disciples and by creating a family of love and faith. (1 Corinthians 12:27; 1 Peter 2:9)
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin in Hell, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation in Heaven. (Romans 6:23)
